At JKH we’re committed to minimising our environmental impact. Our ECO1® range of precast concrete blends offer an innovative and sustainable alternative to standard concrete mixing, reducing cement content by up to 70% over standard CEM1 mixes.

Not only does ECO1® provide exceptional sustainability, but it also meets rigorous performance standards, achieving Design Chemical Class 4 and Design Sulphate Class 4, making our headwalls and other concrete products suitable for even the most aggressive environments.

Reducing our corporate impact.

Our environmental impact is of utmost importance to us at JKH; as an environmentally conscious company, we’re constantly looking for ways to reduce our impact on the environment. Our use of precast concrete units mean that less concrete is used when compared to traditional on site casting procedures, as well as taking less time. In order to reduce waste, our concrete is made in small batches, and we use self-leveling admixtures, eliminating the need for power hungry vibrating tables. All of our lorries use economical diesel engines, and we efficiently plan our journeys along with calling ahead to sites to reduce the amount of journeys we make.

JKH embraces a range of eco-friendly practices as part of our corporate responsibility. We are proud to have achieved ISO 14001 and as part of this practice, we focus on reducing waste by prioritising digital communication, including quotes and client information, to cut down on paper use. Our ongoing efforts reflect a commitment to responsible operations, ensuring that we not only deliver high-quality products but also contribute to a more sustainable future.
